Projects

Since its official opening in February 2005, Al-Balad Theater has thrived by collaborating with local communities and civic society to identify core issues to then establish and organize a variety of projects that have become fundamental components of the theater’s programming and work.

Al-Balad Theater’s main principle is that Art is A Human Right and should be accessible to all members of society. With this principle as our foundation, we have worked tirelessly with all available resources to promote performing arts programs in public spaces in partnership with various organizations, civic communities, artists, city municipalities, and the Ministry of Culture among many others.

Over the course of 19 years, we have served over 100,000 attendees to our events with the collaboration of over 1500 different artists and organizations.
